End of Year is a time for celebration - besides being the festive season - the locals were blessed with a series of near back-to-back anime & cosplay events.

EOY J-Culture Festival ("EOY") is an annual non-profit J-pop cultural festival that gathers doujinshi creators, anime, cosplay & J-fashion lovers into an immersive choice venue. This year, it was thankfully held at Suntec City Convention Centre, a fairly central area of convenience.

Attendees gathered by the stage watching a virtual Youtuber's performance

As there were overseas idols and guests invited, there was a mandatory bag check before the paid attendees were ushered into the modest Hall 406. The immediate impression was SPACE, lots of space for walking & breathing (re: AFA 2022 - Where Space is a Luxury). There were alleys of tiny booths selling artworks, accessories and even figurines, although I suspect there were more onlookers than buyers.

Without further ado, let's check out some of the cosplayers whom I managed to intercept and grab a hasty shot!

FEMALE CHARACTERS

Genshin Impact: Hu Tao

Genshin Impact: La Signora

Genshin Impact: Venti

Genshin Impact: Raiden Shougun & Nahda

Reminiscent of Ram chara... Please forgive my ignorance T.T

Hot lady with another unknown origin T.T

MALE CHARACTERS

1 of the local performers from Southern Ape who has caught my eye while she was dancing on stage

Mo Dao Zu Shi: Wei Ying & Jiang Cheng

Castlevania: Alucard
(The under exposure made it hard to salvage this shot, hopefully I can do him justice in future events. Also, did anybody recognise him as Sephiroth from AFA2022?)

Attack on Titan: Levi Ackerman without the need for wig!

Jiang Jin Jiu: Xiao Chiye <333

Le classic Kuroshitsuji "family portrait"
(I was forced to add the decorative frame + title to dilute the red uncle's presence)

Chainsaw Man: Denji abs. edition

& the Best Cosplayer of Day 2 goes to.... Naruto Shippuden: Sasuke-kunnnn!
Everything is on point - wig, costume, physique, pose... The only thing to ask for is more poses please

Last but not least, the adorable intern Kaoru cos-ing as Xielian from Tian Guan Ci Fu with his partner Hua Cheng (no wig + his costume was self-made!)
~inserts silver butterfly~

To more anime events & better works, see you all next year.
xoxo
